Kimberley Ketsa

Kimberley Ketsa is a lawyer and mediator, specializing in divorce and family law. Kimberley can also assist clients with their Wills and Estate matters and Real Estate transactions.

Kimberley works hard to ensure the client’s voice is heard, while finding the best possible legal solutions to meet their goals.

Kimberley grew up in Edmonton and surrounding areas and loves everything her city has to offer. She completed her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Alberta in 2009, including achieving additional certification in Peace and Post-Conflict studies. Kimberley studied language, law and politics internationally, completing semesters at the Universidad de las Américas in Mexico and the University of Lancaster in England. Kimberley obtained her Juris Doctor law degree from the University of Calgary in 2014, and was called as a lawyer to the Alberta bar in July, 2015.

Kimberley is the Secretary Treasurer for the Alberta North Family Law Executive with the Canadian Bar Association (CBA), planning legal education events, taking part in case and legislative review, and contributing to important discourse about efficiency and access to justice issues in the family court system. In 2018, she was part of a Round-Table discussion with the Minister of Justice of Alberta in regards to introducing new family property legislation. In past years, Kimberley has also served on two National Executives of the CBA, representing family lawyers and young lawyers from Alberta. She is also a volunteer mentor to law students at the University of Alberta. ​

Kimberley is a Collaborative lawyer with the  Collaborative Divorce Alberta Association, the Association of Collaborative Family Professionals in Edmonton and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.

Kimberley is also a Mediator and member of the Alberta Family Mediation Society.

As a trained mediator and collaborative lawyer, Kimberley creates a safe place for individuals in dispute to have an open and honest discussion, guiding them to organically design their own solutions. After years of litigation experience, Kimberley has become a champion for ADR processes, saving people stress and money by finding ways to resolve legal disputes without court.

Kimberley is passionate about improving access to justice for all people. One way that she gives back is by volunteering her time to give legal help to low income Albertans through the Edmonton Community Legal Centre.

Kimberley likes to stay active through mountain biking, skiing, volleyball and slo-pitch. She has a bossy cat and a handsome doberman. To get away, she loves to get in the car, put on some Canadian music and find somewhere to explore Alberta’s natural beauty with her partner, Dan.
